A new Maritime Safety Qld ranger, Dean Crust, has been appointed to the Passage. Dean is aware of the public concern regarding the reported effluent contamination and suspected sewage related smells in the areas where the live aboard vessels are moored. 

TAPP is continuing to  lobby SC Council and Unity Water to install a sewage dump point at a convenient location on the northern part of the Passage.
